The Novice LL White team travelled to Drayton last weekend for their last tournament of the year. They lost their first game to a talented Seaforth team 2-0. Their second game was against the host team, Drayton. All the previous games with Drayton were separated by one goal so we knew this would be a tough game. With a good effort by all, Listowel won 2-1. In the final game that would decide the championship of the B side, we were to play Mildmay. We had not faced them this year but were able to scout them out before the game. Our plan was to keep the play in their end and force their talented center to play defence. With a lot of effort and energy we outscored Mildmay 8-5 to bring home the trophy. The coaches want to thank all the players for their good effort and look forward to an exciting playoff run.
