Novice Rep, U9, 2008-2009 (Listowel Minor Hockey Association)

This past weekend was an exciting one for this young team. They clinched a spot in the final round of the playoffs, and won the “B” side championship at the Gord Hymers Tournament here in Listowel.

Walkerton's 37-2-1 record now stands at 37-3-1 after Listowel Novice unleashes the cyclone and becomes the first team in Walkerton's division to beat them this year.

The last game of the regular season ended in a convincing victory over the Goderich Sailors.  Listowel is to meet first place Walkerton in the first round of playoffs.  Good luck to the young Cyclones.

Listowel Novice Reps are undefeated in 2009! 

   After Christmas and a two week break from games the Listowel Novice Reps began their play at the Kincardine Silver Stick.    In their first game against Goderich they lacked spunk and even though they opened up the scoring they lost the game 3-2 late in the third.    Their second game went well despite ending in a 2-0 loss.  They had their spark back but, fell short to a strong team from Ayr.    The third game was against an opponent that stands at the top of their group.  Tavistock was the first challenge for the Novice Reps this year in an exhibition.  Tavistock proved once again that ...
