External Game Schedule Begins
A great showing by the kids and the goaltenders in Saturday's intra-squad game..

..and hope for the same this weekend.
Both teams travel to opposing centers for games:
Red is in Wallace at 11AM
White is in Mitchell at 2:50
Please do all you can to have your player at the rink at least 30 minutes before the scheduled game time and completely dressed 10 min before the game starts.  This will give the Coaches a brief period where they can address the group as a team and prepare for the game.
If you cannot make any of your scheduled games you are to contact
Dragan Paroski for the White Team
Jason Balzer for the Red Team
Please review with your Coach how they would prefer to be contacted going forward.
Parents will be requested to pay admission for these games at the external center (not at the home games).  This pays for the referees and the timekeepers.
We have 2 players who have expressed interest in becoming goaltenders as they go forward through their Minor Hockey careers.  These players have committed to attend Listowel Minor Hockey's Goalie Clinic on Saturday mornings and receive instruction from a Goalie Mentor every other Wednesday.  In addition, we have committed to ensure all of the kids will have an opportunity to play goalie at either a Wed practice or during a game this season.  Please contact either Jason or Dragan to confirm interest in putting on the goalie gear for the Wed practice and we will schedule to ensure you have an opportunity.  If your son/daughter has an interest in committing to and working to become a goaltender going forward, please advise Mike Smith and we will develop a plan to incorporate them into the same commitment.
As we stated during the opening parents meeting, we are volunteers who are here to help your child develop.  We are working the skills portion of their development more than the game portion, therefore wins and losses mean little at this stage.  Please keep this in mind during the games and encourage your child by reinforcing all of the things they have done well.
Another item stated at the opening parents meeting was communication.  If you have any concerns or questions, instead of working these through the other parents, please bring them directly to Mike Smith and we will work to resolve as efficiently as possible.
The kids have really progressed and looking forward to the 2nd half of our season.
