Pre-Season Completed
The team completed four exhibition games prior to the start of the regular season compiling a record of 1 win, 2 losses and 1 tie.   All players have demonstrated good positional play for being so early in the season and it appears the talent is there for this team to have a good season.

The first game vs BCH was during tryouts before the final team was selected.  BCH had tryouts in the spring so their final team had been practicing together for a little bit already.  The result was a 15-4 loss but we did get a glimpse of what our team is capable of with some nice passing resulting in a couple of our goals.

For the next game the team traveled to St. Clements to take on the Twin Centres Stars.  This game was after the final team selections and we saw more of what this team could do at both ends of the ice.  The final result was a hard fought 5-3 win.  In the return engagement the next weekend the team again showed some great positional play from all players.  The game went back and forth with each team taking the lead on different occasions.  In the end there was no winner, a 5-5 tie.

Exhibition game #4 was in Mitchell with Camden taking a turn in net.  The game was closer then the score would indicate but we just could not find the back of the net on our chances (although a goal we did score was not counted).  Camden played a good game in net with 4 of the Mitchell goals coming on rebound shots as the puck seemed to end up right on a Mitchell players stick after the initial save.  The final tally was 6-1 with Ben Nauta potting our lone goal a breakaway marker using his great speed.

We have a few more practices before we see our next game action at the BCH tournament in Clinton on October 12-13.  We then open our league schedule vs Blyth-Brussels on October 14th at 3pm in Listowel.

See you at the rink.
