Lucknow Tournament Champions
First up during the tournament was another matchup with Blyth/Brussels.  The team fell behind 4-2 with less then 2 minutes remaining but with the goalie pulled Ben managed to score twice to send the game into overtime.  The five minute overtime period got down to 1:38 when Carter Coombs managed to win it for the kids and send them to the Championship side of the tournament.  Coombsy ended up with 2 goals and 2 assists, Camden got the other goal and Owen adding an assist.

The next game was vs Lucknow.  The team was definitely ready for this one and took the lead early and would not relent resulting in a 10-3 victory and a date in the Championship game.  Ben had another great game scoring 4 and adding 3 assists.  Camden had 2 goals, Coombsy with 2 goals and 5 assists, Drew and Caleb each with a goal and assist, and Ty and Harrison adding single assists as well.

The final was vs Drayton and the team again had a strong start going up 5-0 half way though the 2nd period.  It appeared the kids thought the game was over at this point as they stopped skating as hard and got a little lazy.  Drayton scored 2 before the end of the second and by the time there was 5 minutes left in the 3rd, the game was tied 5-5.  With 3:55 left in the game Carter Coombs managed to score the go ahead goal and the kids held on to secure the 6-5 victory and the Championship trophy.  Coombsy had 2 goals and one assist, Caleb and Brayden with a goal and an assist each, Owen and Camden rounded out the goals and Harrison (2), Drew and Carter Coates pulled in the assists.

It was a great tournament for all with Ethan making timely saves, Drew, Carter Coates, Jay, Logan and Brooke playing solid D and Coombsy, Ben, Owen, Camden, Brayden, Caleb, Harrison and Ty with a great forecheck and timely goal scoring.

Congratulations kids, you made the coaches and parents very proud.
