Bantam AE, U15, 2012-2013 (Listowel Minor Hockey Association)

The Bantam AE's completed their run through the OMHA playdowns winning the championship in 5 games over the Dorchester Dragons. This was a great series with every game being decided by 1 goal with the exception of 2 empty net goals. The full playoff story will be featured in the Banner this week. Congratulations Boys on a terrific season.

Listowel Leads the series 5pts to 1pt vs Dorchester in the OMHA finals. Game 4 will be in Listowel on Saturday march 30th at 5p.m Full article to follow after the series

The Listowel Bantam AE's completed the sweep of the Huntsville Otters and will now face off with Dorchester for the All Ontario Championship. Game one of the Huntsville series had the Otters coming to town for a 1p.m start last saturday.  Knowing that the Otters would be a bit fatigued from the long bus ride the boys knew coming out strong would make it tough for the Otters and they did just that scoring 15 seconds into the game. As the game continued the Otters started to try and play a more aggressive game and put the Cyc's on their heels for a short period.

The Ae's came off an emotional win over the Goderich Sailors to win the WOAA championship and head to the quarter finals against the Collingwood Blackhawks. The series would start in Listowel with game 1 going to Listowel by a score of 4-1.  The boys came out ready to play despite being down a couple of players they were determined and with a great team effort came away with a convincing victory.

The Cyclones found themselves in a deep hole against the sailors due to some stellar netminding by the goderich tender and were down 2 games to 0 after 2 1 goal losses. The boys would fight back and take games 3 and 4 with a great team effort setting up a game 5 back in Goderich. Game 5 would see the cyc's come out flying and build a 2-0 lead after 1. With some key stops early in the second by O'Grady to keep the lead at 2 the cyc's would add 2 more before the end of the 2nd and take a 4-0 lead to the dressing after 2 periods.
