U9T1's fall to Defenders
The Listowel U9T1 Cyclones ran into a determined Drayton team on Tuesday night falling to them for the third time this year.
The Defenders came out flying in this one scoring twice in the opening shift but the Cyclones responded to tie the game on the next shift. For most of the first half it was pretty even with both goalies making great saves but the Defenders would have a couple of big shifts late in the opening period to take a large lead to the break.
The Cycs came out in the 2nd determined to get back in the contest with an early goal but it would be all they could get past the goalie in orange who was a wall all night stopping any chances the Cycs managed. The boys gave a good effort but Drayton is not a team you can make mistakes against and they proved it on route to a convincing win.
The boys are back in action on January 6 in their last 1/2 ice game vs Mt Forest.
