Novice LL wins Tiverton tourney.
What a great effort by all the players on the Novice LL team in the Tiverton one day tournament. With a very hard working and team effort all the players found the perfect way to top off a very impressive season.

The team showed up in Tiverton with the four goals they have worked on all season in mind. Be aggressive, play as a team, play in the other teams end and most importantly have "FUN".

The team had a slow start to each of the three games but put it together in the second and third of each game. Very strong defensive play by Sara Reading, Colin Williams, Brayden Coombs and Nikki Eaton led the way so the forwards could play their usual hard working forchecking game.

Goaltending all season long has been by committee. This day belonged to Matthew Vesnaver as he backstopped the team to 3 straight victories, recorded a shutout in the second game and was three minutes away from another in the final.

Forward line of Jacob Drager, Tayttum Bramhill and Mika Bolognone led the way with nine goals and dominated most of the shifts on the ice. The young line of Chet Hudson, Bret Smith and Carter Coombs potted four of their own goals. The line of Maddox Brennan, Patrick Daviau and Liam Huber played very strong each and every shift with Liam scoring his first goal of the season.

Results were as follows:
Game 1  vs Normandy  win 8-4
Game 2  vs Kincadine Komets win 2-0
Game 3  vs Kincardine Kobras win 5-1

Special coaching thanks from Mike Smith during game 1 and 2 and I'm sure he is very proud of each player and their hard work to pull off the final victory in his absence.

Congratulations players as you deserve this tournament with all the hard work all season long.
