More Exciting Hockey Action
Another weekend is in the books.  It started on Friday night vs Minto.  This team had beat us previously and it was obvious from the start that the kids were not going to let that happen again.  The team worked hard and built a 5-1 lead before letting up a little in the latter part of the game but the kids held on for a great 6-4 victory.

The kids were back at it again at 8am Saturday morning at the Hanover tournament.

Our first game was against Lucknow.  The kids worked hard and had many scoring opportunities but could only muster one goal for the longest time in this game.  Finally we wore their goalie down and put a bunch in the net in the second half of the game resulting in a 6-1 victory for the team.  This took us to the Championship side of the tournament bracket.

After a good breakfast and some team bonding with coach Randy (a walk and a mini-sticks game) the team faced off against Milverton.  This game was solid end to end action with both teams having many chances.  Again we were up against a strong goalie who made many great saves to keep our scorers at bay.  Milverton would go up 3-0 before we would score to get ourselves back in the game.  This however was the only goal we would get by their goaltender and they would score one late to make it a 4-1 final and ending our tournament.

The team now has their playoff schedule which has us facing Durham, Minto and Howick in a home and home round robin with the top team in the group moving on to vie for the Central-South Novice Local League White Flight Championship against the other division winners.

Watch the website for the teams schedule.

See you at the rink.
