4 Point Weekend for Midget Reps
The Midget Reps worked hard to grab two wins this past weekend, over BCH and Saugeen Shores, both by 6-3 scores.
On Saturday, Nov 10th the Cyclones travelled to Clinton to face off against BCH. Starting the game with 12 skaters, the Reps were quickly down to 10 skaters before the end of the first period, and trailing 3-2 at the end of the second period.
Hard work and determination prevailed, as Listowel scored 4 goals in the third, with Steven Gottfried turning away all the Ice Dog attempts.
Connor Johnson and Tyler Hak lead the way with two goals each, along with Andrew Gooding and Mike McMurran chipping in singles. Assists went out to Jacob Askins, Justin Miller, Drew McKee, Blake Buchanan, Alex Balthes and Joel Hartung.
Sunday night in Listowel the Reps were again short on players, but the efforts of affiliate players filled in the gaps, with a 6-3 victory over Saugeen Shores.
The scoring was spread out with Johnson, Gooding, Cory Wilson, McKee, Hak and Hartung all netting singles. Assists went out to Askins, Cole Danneman, Riley Thompson, Nic Matheson, Cole McKee and Reese Johnson.
Buchanan, Balthes, McMurran and McKee put in a stellar effort on defence, along with Drew Anger getting the win in net.
Next action is at home against Walkerton on Wednesday, Nov 14th @ 9:00pm.
