Red Reaches Semis in Liftlock Tourney
Listowel Atom Red played a solid three days of hockey over the weekend, ending with a Sunday morning semi-finals loss to South Dundas.

Red split each of their first two days of hockey as the club twice followed up early losses with wins later in the day.  The victories were largely lopsided for Listowel as each skater picked up at least one point along a way.  Goaltender Ryan Reath joked that he was the only one who didn't make the scoreboard, but earned up a shutout on Saturday and sparkled as he was tested often against the high-flying South Dundas offense.

Red's work in their own end throughout the first two days turned out to be key, as it earned them a tie breaker into the Championship side of the bracket, one goal ahead of their closest rival -- Listowel White, who went on to grab 5th place on the consolation side.

Both evenings and Sunday morning were spent bonding as teammates and friends, largely around the pool with some mini-sticks action sprinkled in around a night at East Side Marios.

After five games in three days, Red will have more than a week of practice before resuming game action on January 24 at 7 p.m. in Drayton.
