Red Shut Out By Rams
Listowel Atom Red took a 2-0 loss at the hands of the Mt. Forest Rams on Saturday.
Goaltender Ryan Reath kept his team in the game all afternoon as he turned away all but two chances from the league's highest scoring team.
His defensive tandems of Brynlee Binning, Lucas McLeod, Warner Hurst and Oliver Hershey also helped stem the tide as they blocked shots and kept pucks mainly to the outside.
Listowel's offense was kept off the score sheet despite many chances.
Wingers Kingston Powell, Nehemiah Dyck, Blake McTavish, Ruby Hillier and Linc Lannin missed some in-tight opportunities while centers Noah Hiemstra and Owen Alexander couldn't seem to get a bounce to bring Red back into the game.
Listowel will need to get some rest and practice quickly as a three-game weekend is on deck, starting with a 6:30 pm Friday night date with the Central Perth Predators at the Elma-Logan Arena.
