Cyclones Battle BCH During Snow Storm
The Listowel U13-AE Cyclones took on the BCH Ice Dogs in a stormy Sunday match at SKMC.
The Ice Dogs ran up a 3-0 lead by the middle of the second period before the Cyclones got on the board.
That tally came off the stick of Hudson Ireland as he buried a rebound. It was defenseman Finn Molenhuis who grabbed the helper.
However, BCH managed to score on the very next shift and took a 4-1 lead into the intermission.
Listowel got another goal in that final frame, again a wrister from Ireland, set up by Noah Hiemstra and Liam Ough.
That was as close as the Cycs would get though. Austin Frey was solid under siege for lengthy periods of the game and was mostly equal to the task but he and his 'mates were ultimately dealt a 6-2 loss.
Listowel's next playoff battle will take place at home on Wednesday at 7:35 pm vs. Mitchell.
