U13 - Rep B, U13, 2022-2023 (Listowel Minor Hockey Association)

The road team would strike first early in the 2nd but the Cycs would respond quickly on a Hudson Ireland goal set up by Coleson Beirnes and Emerson Smith.  It would be a short lived tie as the Huskies would score late in the period.  The game would see no more scoring and the home team fall to 2-1 to drop their playoff record to 1 win and 2 losses.   The boys are back at it Tuesday night at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex when they welcome the West Grey Warriors to town.

The U13 Rep Cycs got off to the start they wanted vs the West Grey Warriors on Wednesday as Emerson Smith 30 seconds into the 2nd period unassisted.  It would be short lived however as the Warriors would respond less than a minute to tie the game and again mid way through the frame to take the lead.  Zack Brooks would tie the game shortly after on a nice feed from Patrick Magee and Jade Campbell but again the Warriors would respond and would take a 3-2 to the intermission.

It took 3 ties and two losses but on the sixth try the Cyclones finally solved their rival from highway 23 and beat the Mitchel Meteors by a score of 2-1 on Monday night to open the WOAA Tier 1 playoffs.

Congrats to Tyse Hayter who was the lucky winner of this segment of the U13 fitness challenge, he takes home a Thirty One fitness bag, some supplements and a Corleys gift card complements of Rob and Beckie Martin!!  Keep up the good work boys!!! 

The U13 Rep Cyclones played in the St Mary's Rock Cup on the weekend and unfortunately didn't get the result they wanted.  They would end with a record of one win and two losses and miss out on the medal round.  Time to refocus and get ready for the WOAA playoffs which start mid February.
