OMHA's Tied Up 1-1 with Mitchell
The Midget Reps are tied up with Mitchell at one win each, in the first round of the OMHA playdowns/WOAA playoffs, after a 5-2 win at home & a 4-3 road loss in Mitchell.
The Cyclones came out firing in game #1, jumping out to an early 2-0 first period lead. The Reps made it 4-0 in the second, and then held on for a 5-2 victory.
Jesse Nethercott played very well in net for the win, fending off Mitchell shooters, and contributing to the Cyclone scoring with 2 assists.
The next night back in Mitchell did not harvest the same results, as tired legs and minds led to many penalties and a 4-3 loss. The Cycs did not give up throughout the game however, coming back on the Meteors several times, and almost tying things up with the goalie pulled.
Game #3 is scheduled for Saturday, Feb-4th in Listowel at 7:15pm.
Game #4 is back in Mitchell on Feb-6th @ 9:15pm.
