Bantam AE, U15, 2014-2015 (Listowel Minor Hockey Association)

After a win in game one of the series, our next games were scheduled for Jan. 20 in Walkerton, Home on Jan. 25, back to Walkerton on Jan. 27, 2015. Although the Listowel team did end up losing the series, this series found our players heading for the net with a lot more enthusiasm and as result,  more goals than in previous games.

Our teams’ WOAA playdowns include teams from BCH, Mount Forest, South Bruce and Elma Logan.

Tues. Jan 13, 2015-Playdowns - Listowel Bantam AE vrs Walkerton Bantam AE The coin toss was in our favour and has given our team the home ice advantage for this series. In the last two games against Walkerton, the teams were fairly evenly matched even though Walkerton was the winning team in both previous games. The first period was very evenly matched, with almost equal scoring opportunities at both ends of the ice. There was lots of action by all the forwards, which the fans were happy to see! Both teams kept their cool for most of the period, with only one penalty given to the Walkerton ...

Our last 2 games matched our team up with 2 aggressive teams from our division – Minto on Nov. 13 and South Bruce on Nov. 25. Both games found the other team giving our goalie a tough work out, as both of these teams were eager to shoot at the net.  With our game against Minto, it was the penalties against our team that ended that game in a 4-0 win for Minto.

Our Rivals at Elma Logan were hoping for the same outcome with home ice advantage for the  rematch, but our team was not going to let that happen! With a short bench, our boys looked a little like David against his Goliath.
